This work weaves together pages of Willamette Week and Street Roots newspapers. This represents the understanding that the houseless community is a part of our community as a whole. We cannot simply make the houseless disappear. We need to embrace them as neighbors and work towards helping them.

So many people try to white wash the history of this nation. I created this “quilt” of our American family to recognize that this country exists because of the existence of indigenous people, immigrants, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, and women.
